Ever need to find somewhere for an outing that will please 3 generations, all with different ideas of what makes a good day out? The former Richmond Station, really fits that bill.
A few years ago it was transformed into a wonderful venue housing a cinema, a gallery with changing exhibitions, the fantastic Shop at the Station, alongside food and drink businesses including The Angel's Share Bakery, Richmond Brewing Company, and Archer's Jersey Ice Cream.
There's even a small exhibition room telling the story of the station. The restaurant has recently been refurbished and given a fresh look and new menu. An added benefit is the beautiful and relatively flat walk along the river Swale towards the ruins of Easby Abbey.
