An insider's view of the Yorkshire Dales

One of my favourite things about living in the Yorkshire Dales is the people.

Almost without exception, they're friendly and upbeat, even when life is sometimes quite a challenge. We all feel very lucky to live among such outstanding beauty, and really appreciate our surroundings. There is a genuine sense of caring and contentment.

I've found that most people have hidden depths, often with surprising hobbies or stories about their life. Here, some lovely people share their stories and what makes them most happy about living in the Yorkshire Dales
