This one-day course gives a practical introduction to keeping, looking after and handling sheep. It covers all aspects from fields and fencing to equipment and paperwork, and includes extensive practical experience in actually handling the animals themselves. The course is suitable for almost all ages and levels of experience, with previous trainees ranging from teenagers to octogenarians! Some trainees have sheep, others are looking to acquire some, and some are just looking for a fun day out hoping to find out more about the sheep they see everywhere in the Dales. 

Suggested duration: Full day, 10am to 4pm

Price guideline per person: £75 (including lunch at the Farmshop in the village)
