Semerwater Alpaca Ambles
Semerwater Alpaca Ambles is a no frills alpaca experience in Raydaleside. They have five male walking alpacas varying in age. They meet close to the alpaca field and walk the alpacas to Lake Semerwater for snack time and a paddle - if the lake is calm. The route varies depending on the farming calendar. They take the boys back to their field and then meet the rest of the herd to give them their treats. There are plenty of photo opportunities throughout the walk as it takes in the scenery of Raydaleside from a different perspective.
Spending time with the alpacas is calming and very much an amble as the animals like to stop and start and see what is happening around them. They are not rushed, allowing people to properly unwind and gain an insight into the alpacas from the team at Semerwater Alpaca Ambles. They have teamed up with the Dales Countryside Museum for the Woolly Wander Experience which gives people the chance to spend time with the alpacas and then create a felt picture including the wool from the alpacas. Suggested duration: The whole experience takes between 1.5 and 2 hours - it all depends on the alpacas as they go at their own pace. Price guideline per person: UP TO 31st March 2021 - £15 per adult; £8 per child. FROM 1st April 2021 - £20 per adult and £8 per child. Minimum number of people to walk is 2, maximum is 6 people at any one time. More info: semerwateralpacaambles.co.uk (Website currently under construction) |
