There's a small country estate on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales where you can do just that. Whether you want to take children or a group of adults, on the Camp Hill Estate they've cleverly created separate areas that work just as well for each.
Adventure runs deep on this site. Bruce Ropner, father of current owner, Robert was crowned British two-man bobsleigh champion in 1962, and there's still a dry push-start track on the estate. But that's another story.
Camp Hill is the venue for a variety of different activities. They're very keen to encourage children, whether on family outings or as part of a school's residential break, to develop life skills and enjoy more memorable experiences by getting outside and trying new activities. There's a wonderful Woodland Kingdom with slides, swings, assault course & treehouse fort.
Adults have a whole host of fun activities to choose from including footgolf, segways, quad bikes and a high ropes course. Unsurprisingly, Camp Hill is very popular for corporate team-building days and for hen and stag groups, especially as there's a selection of rustic accommodation and glamping on site so everyone can really enjoy the sense of getting away from their daily lives.
For anyone planning a party or break-away-day, there are several great spaces to use such as the safari tent, orangery and rustic barn. The rustic barn is frequently transformed into a cosy and attractive setting for events and festivals. The latest addition looks set to be very popular - a geodome, which makes a fantastic space for calmer activities such as yoga and a base for forest-bathing in the neighbouring woods.
